It’s important to issue an ECTN/waiver 72 hours prior to vessel arrival as cargoes arriving without valid ECTN/waiver will be blocked for delivery by the local customs and the consignee will have to pay a penalty of 50% of the tariff rate .
Transit cargoes to the Central African Republic or Chad are exempted from a Cameroon ECTN/waiver.
